Instagram photoshoot in Cap-Ferrat

A sea-level path, a private bay, a chapel headland and gardens above the water. A content session on Cap-Ferrat, the one place on this coast with no crowd in August.

In short

Cap-Ferrat is the quietest place to shoot on the whole Riviera, even in August: the Promenade Maurice Rouvier at sea level, the bay at Paloma, the chapel path at Pointe Saint-Hospice and the gardens of Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. Twenty minutes from Nice. One price for the whole group whatever its size, first edited photos within 48 hours.

Why Cap-Ferrat works for an Instagram session

The peninsula is residential, largely private and almost entirely without tour buses, which means the paths stay empty at hours when Nice and Cannes are impossible. In August, when the rest of the coast is at capacity, Cap-Ferrat is where we take groups who want photographs with nobody else in them.

The paths are also flat and paved, running just above the water for most of their length, so the sea is in every frame without anyone having to climb. For a group that wants a relaxed hour rather than a hike, it is the easiest coastline here to photograph well.

Spots and access checked in July 2026. We map the route to your outfits and the hour you are free, so the session stays a walk rather than a schedule.

How a content session with friends actually runs

Nobody in your group needs to know how to pose. We meet at the first spot, walk, talk and shoot as we go, and the direction is limited to where to stand and where to look. Most of the frames people keep are the ones between the poses, so we shoot through the walking and the laughing rather than stopping for it.

One hour covers three backdrops and two outfits comfortably. Two hours gets you a fourth spot, a swimsuit change and the time to slow down. Everyone in the group is photographed alone as well as together, which is the part people underestimate: a girls trip gallery where each person also has ten strong solo frames is worth far more to the group than the same number of group shots.

What you get

Practical things to know in Cap-Ferrat

The coastal paths, the village and the headland are public and need no permit for a small handheld session. Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is a ticketed site and photoshoots there need the villa's agreement, which we request in advance when you want the gardens in the gallery.

Cap-Ferrat is twenty minutes from Nice and fifteen from Monaco, so it works as a session even when you are staying elsewhere. Most of the peninsula is private property behind gates, which is exactly why the public paths stay empty, and we shoot only what is legitimately accessible.

Frequently asked questions

How do we get to Cap-Ferrat without a car?

Bus 15 from Nice to Saint-Jean village, about forty minutes, or a twenty minute taxi. From the village everything we shoot is walkable and flat: the Promenade Maurice Rouvier, the port and the chapel path at Pointe Saint-Hospice. Only Paloma and the Villa Ephrussi gardens add a short climb.

Can we shoot in the gardens of Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild?

With a garden ticket and the villa's agreement, which we request in advance. It is a ticketed heritage site rather than a public park, so a photoshoot needs to be declared. When the answer is no for your dates, the chapel path at Pointe Saint-Hospice gives a comparable frame with sea instead of formal gardens, and it is free.

Is Cap-Ferrat worth it if we are staying in Nice?

Yes, and it is a twenty minute drive. The reason to come is the absence of crowds: the coastal paths stay quiet even in August, so the photographs have nobody in the background. If your group is choosing one session on the trip and wants it to look private, this is the place on this coast to do it.

What is the best time of day to shoot on Cap-Ferrat?

Golden hour on the Promenade Maurice Rouvier, when the light comes across the bay from Beaulieu and the water turns gold. Mornings for Paloma and the village port. Because the peninsula never fills up, the middle of the day is more usable here than anywhere else on the coast, especially on the shaded stretches of the chapel path.
