Invited to the Rose Ball in Monaco, or thinking of buying two places? The 2027 date has not been announced yet, but the ball is held every March. It takes place in the Salle des Étoiles of the Sporting Monte-Carlo, in aid of the Princess Grace Foundation.

When is the Rose Ball 2027?
The Rose Ball 2027 will take place in March 2027, on a date still to be confirmed. Monte-Carlo SBM says it organises the ball every year in March. The 70th edition was on Saturday 21 March 2026.
The last four editions all fell on a Saturday in the second half of March:

So keep the last two March weekends of 2027 free, and book flexible flights until the date is out.

How much does a place cost, and how do you book?
A place cost 1,800 € per person in 2025 and 2026, so 3,600 € for a couple. The price has risen fast in recent years, as the organiser's press releases show.

How to reserve your places
The organiser lists a phone number, +377 98 06 63 40, and an email address, baldelarose@sbm.mc. Write early in the new year and ask to be told when 2027 bookings open. The price is per person, so book two places in your names.
What the price covers
In 2025, Paris Match reported that the 1,800 € included the dinner, cooked by chef Marcel Ravin with the Sporting's teams. The evening also includes the show. Raffle proceeds go in full to the Princess Grace Foundation, as they have since 1964.
What happens on the night?
Doors open at 20:00, then dinner, a stage show and dancing late into the night. Each year has its own theme, chosen by the Princess of Hanover, who presides over the ball. Christian Louboutin designed the last editions.

Hello Monaco counted about 900 guests in 2026. You do not need to know anyone: the ball welcomes paying guests alongside Monaco society.

What should you wear to the Rose Ball?
The official dress code is black tie for him and an evening dress for her. That means a dinner jacket and bow tie. For you, a long gown is the safe choice, as the room is formal.
March evenings are cool. Météo-France normals for Nice give an average March low of 8.3°C and a high of 15.4°C. Bring a wrap or an evening coat for the walk to the car, and comfortable shoes for the dancing after midnight.
Where should you stay, and how do you get there?
Stay at the Hôtel de Paris for the classic Monte-Carlo weekend, or the Monte-Carlo Bay to sleep close to the Sporting. Book your room as soon as the ball date is out.
- Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo: five stars on the Place du Casino, open since 1864. The Sporting is about 1.4 km away on foot, but in a gown take a car.
- Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort: 40 Avenue Princesse Grace, on the same avenue as the Sporting. Its restaurant, Blue Bay Marcel Ravin, holds two Michelin stars.

Can you have your portrait taken before the ball?
Yes, and the best moment is the hour before sunset, before doors open at 20:00. You will both be dressed, the light is soft, and the night is still ahead. Riva is a private luxury photography agency on the Riviera. Our photographers work outside the ballroom, never inside it.
On the March Saturdays of 2027, the sun sets in Monaco between about 18:35 and 18:52, by our calculation. That gives a clear window from 17:30 to 18:45, then a short drive to the Sporting.

The 2027 date had not been published in October 2026. Monte-Carlo SBM holds the Bal de la Rose every year in March, and the last four editions fell on a Saturday between 21 and 29 March. The 70th edition took place on Saturday 21 March 2026 at the Sporting Monte-Carlo.
