In short
The Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters 2027 runs from 3 to 11 April at the Monte-Carlo Country Club in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, just east of Monaco. From Nice airport, a helicopter reaches Monaco in 7 minutes, and trains stop at a temporary Country Club station. Stay near Larvotto or the Casino, book lunch on site, and keep the 8pm sunset for photographs.

Where is the tournament, and how do you get there from Nice airport?
The Monte-Carlo Country Club is at 155 Avenue Princesse Grace, in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, on the French side of the border just east of Monaco. Most guests stay in Monaco and travel a few minutes along the coast each morning. Nice Côte d'Azur airport is the arrival point for almost everyone.
“The Principality of Monaco is situated 22 km from the Nice Côte d'Azur International Airport, i.e. 25 minutes by motorway or 7 minutes by helicopter.”
Government of Monaco
By helicopter
This is the quickest arrival. The organisers list helicopter flights every 30 minutes between Nice airport and the Monaco heliport during the tournament, taking 7 minutes. Monacair lists its regular line from €195 per person. In 2026, the tournament published a reduced fare of €150 for event dates, with a chauffeur transfer to the tournament entrance included. Check whether a 2027 code appears on the official travel page.
By train
The organisers recommend the train for match days. Nice Saint-Augustin station is a 7 minute walk from Terminal 1, and the trams between the two terminals are free. Trains on the Cannes, Nice, Monaco and Menton line run every 15 minutes on weekdays.
During the tournament, a temporary Monte-Carlo Country Club stop opens between the Monaco and Roquebrune-Cap-Martin stations. It leaves you about 500 metres from Entrance 4. The organisers say it serves one direction of travel only and has no step-free access, so check its timetable on the tournament site first.
By car
From Nice, take exit 56 Monaco on the A8. The organisers advise against parking near the club. Parking des Salines in Monaco charges a flat €6 a day with a free express shuttle to the courts, and several other Monaco car parks offer €15 with a tournament ticket. In 2026, Monaco's buses were free for ticket holders all week, and free for everyone on the weekdays.

Where should you stay during Masters week?
Stay on the eastern side of Monaco, around Larvotto and the Casino quarter, to keep the morning trip short. The tournament names four hotels on its own practical page. The closest is the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, which the organisers place a 10 minute walk from the courts.
- Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort: on its own peninsula, 334 rooms with terraces, the nearest of the four.
- Le Méridien Beach Plaza: listed by the tournament among the nearby hotels.
- Hôtel Hermitage and Hôtel Métropole: also listed by the tournament, in the heart of Monte-Carlo.
Book as early as you can, especially for the final weekend. If you are travelling with children, ask for connecting rooms when you book. For other addresses, the tournament refers guests to the Monaco Tourist Office.
Where can you eat at the tournament?
You can bring your own food, and the site has both bookable restaurants and walk-in options. The organisers say it plainly.
“It is possible to enter the tournament with food.”
Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, Good to know
For a proper lunch, book ahead. La Terrasse is run by the Société des Bains de Mer, Lopen by the Fairmont Monte Carlo events team, and Le Masters by Pavillon Traiteur. Le Village is reserved for box and hospitality package holders. Without a booking, there is the self-service Le Cinq Sets, the Italian Corner and the tournament bars.
Remember one rule before you plan lunch outside: if you leave the site, you cannot come back in on the same ticket. Plan your dinners in Monaco for the evenings.
What should you wear and know before you go?
The tournament sets no dress code for day spectators, but the site is terraced on a hillside, so wear flat shoes and bring a layer. A linen shirt, light trousers or a summer dress and a light jacket suit the Monaco crowd and the April sun. Bring sunglasses and a hat for the open stands.
A few rules from the official practical page:
- Phones are strictly forbidden in the stands during matches.
- Suitcases and large items are not allowed; paid lockers sit at Entrances 2, 3 and 4.
- Children under 5 enter free with an adult and an identity document, but they have no seat of their own.
- Animals are not allowed anywhere on the site.
What else happens in Monaco during the 2027 Masters?
Two tournament events stand out: Children's Day on Sunday 4 April, and La Grande Nuit du Tennis on Saturday 10 April. Children's Day runs from 10am in the fan area, with mini tennis, contests and player autograph sessions. It is the easy day to bring the family.
La Grande Nuit du Tennis is the gala dinner and show of the week, held in the Salle des Étoiles at the Sporting Monte-Carlo from 8.30pm. Members of the Princely Family, players and partners attend. The dress code is evening dress and dark suit.
“A gala evening organised each year since 1992 in the legendary Salle des Étoiles.”
Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters
If you can arrive early, Monaco's spring music festival, the Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo, runs from 3 to 28 March 2027. It ends a week before the tournament starts, so it suits a longer stay rather than Masters week itself.
Can you book a photo session during Masters week?
Yes, and the long April evenings make it easy to fit one around the tennis. The sun sets at 8pm on 3 April and at 8.10pm on 11 April in Monaco. That leaves a golden hour after most of the day's play, or a quiet early morning before the 9.30am gates.
Riva is a private photography agency with a small team of high-end photographers working in Monaco all year. For Masters week, the natural formats are a couple portrait before dinner, a family session on your rest day, or a surprise proposal on the Rock. We scout the spot and plan the light around your match schedule.
- 1 hour, 30 photos: €790, all taxes included.
- 2 hours, 60 photos: €1,290, enough for two places in Monaco.
- A first selection within 48 hours, and the full retouched gallery within 7 days.
- Free rescheduling up to the morning of the session if the weather turns.
Our guide to the best photo spots in Monaco shows which places work at which hour. If the trip hides a ring, read how to plan a surprise proposal in Monaco. All formats are on our pricing page, and our private photography in Monaco page explains how a session runs.
